#GalaxyNextDoor: Opps! Sony’s newest PS3 has leaked online sooner than they were hoping. We can expect this new slimmer and slightly uglier PS3 will retail for the magic price point of $199.99. You can see some other pics of the new grilled wonder after the break. Seriously, this thing looks like a waffle iron from some shots.

The materials you will need will depend on how big and long you want your rack (or how much wood you have). I had enough wood to make a small one (15'' long x 13'' tall)
1/2'' or 3/4'' plywood or hardwood
branching branches ( I used 6)
nails and/or screws (1'' or so will do)
2 hanging hooks
saw














handsaw for cutting the branches
table saw, miter saw, chop saw, or handsaw to cut the frame.

    How To Create ELECTROLYSIS Elements!!



    Electrolysis
    Electrolysis is the use of electricity to separate elements or compounds. Here the objective is to separate water into hydrogen gas and oxygen gas. This project can become dangerous if you decide to collect the gases. You won’t get pure oxygen unless your battery has platinum electrodes, but you can collect a sample of hydrogen gas. Hydrogen burns easily in air (Hindenburg) and burns vigorously with a clear flame when mixed with oxygen (space shuttle main engines).Add several tablespoons of salt [edit: baking soda is a safer choice…read the comments] to the water and stir it until it disolves. This step provides free ions, making a solution which conducts electricity.
    Place the battery in the solution. You should see tiny bubbles on both of the electrodes. The one that produces bubbles faster is producing hydrogen. The battery will only last a few minutes in the solution.
    Optionally, you can attach wires or graphite rods to the battery terminals and leave the battery out of the water. Using graphite rods will speed up the process considerably.

    How To Make A Carboard Stooler


    1. Cut and fold part A, which will form the seat. It is made of multiple 11.5" diameter circles folded over each other to make a strong sitting surface. The narrow strip is folded around the circumferance of all of the circles to hide the edges.
    2. Cut and fold part B, which is the weight-bearing element in the stool. It is just a large sheet that is rolled into a tight cylinder. You can make folding easier and more precise by using a straight edge and a blunt instrument to score parallel lines into one side of the cardboard. The cardboard will then fold nicely along these lines.
    3. Cut and fold part C, which is mainly decorative. This piece has thin diamonds cut out of it, allowing the middle to be pressed in when it is rolled up. The result is an hour glass shape.
    4. Test fit the parts, and then start gluing things together. It will look most impressive if none of the glue is visible.
    5. Let the glue dry fully before you sit on the stool. If you have built the stool well it will be quite sturdy, but you should sit fairly still. Tilting or leaning will wear it out quickly.


      Place the neodymium magnet on the negative terminal of the battery. The magnet used here was 0.5 inches in diameter and 0.25 inches thick. Anything near that size will work, but normal ceramic magnets are too weak. You can buy neodymium magnets at K&J Magnetics. If your copper wire is insulated you need to remove the insulation. Bend the wire into any shape you want, but be sure it makes good contact with the positive terminal of the battery as well as with the circumference of the magnet. Bending the wire into a pretty yet functional shape takes lots of patience. See the photos for two examples of shapes you can make. Balance the copper wire on top of the battery and make small adjustments in the shape until it spins quickly and easily. The battery will only last a few minutes with the wire on it.
